Ball Q3 2026: 4.7% volume growth, 6.8% EPS increase; Germany and India greenfield investment signals confidence

Ball delivered Q3 volume growth of 4.7% year-over-year with comparable operating earnings up 2.5% and comparable diluted EPS up 6.8%, positioning the company to exceed full-year guidance and deliver 10-plus percent comparable diluted EPS growth in 2026. The company announced two major greenfield investments—a multiline facility in Baruth, Germany ramping late 2028 and a multiline facility in Uttar Pradesh, India operational in 2029—both anchored by long-term customer commitments and structured to deliver EVA-accretive returns above the company's cost of capital. Operational friction from capacity constraints in North America and EMEA persists, but management characterized it as a sign of winning in tight markets rather than a structural vulnerability.
