Crane Q3 2026: mixed segment growth, margin pressure from input costs, nuclear/data center orders offsetting weakness.

Crane's third quarter reflected broad-based headwinds across its diversified portfolio: while power-and-nuclear and data-center orders provided pockets of strength, input cost inflation and tariff exposure compressed margins across flow control and payment systems segments. The company disclosed no new strategic shifts in flow-control M&A appetite or capacity additions, and guidance language remained cautious on near-term execution despite acknowledged backlog visibility.
